Emergency Medical Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

EMT or Emergency Medical Technicians are the health care professionals who initially assess the condition of the patient and determine the necessary course of action. These workers provide medical support  to the patients while they are carried to the hospitals. They respond to the emergencies arising out of causalities like criminal violence, natural disasters, fires, air and land accidents etc.

Salary:

$31,700 as of 2014.

Education:

Approved training program(s) at the appropriate EMT level; some programs lead to certificates or associate’s degrees.

Demand for this Profession:

Educational program.

Reflection:

I wouldn’t like to be one because what about if we don’t get there fast enough, that’s a life at risk.
