This means that if your friends are going to do something bad, don’t follow them. If they try to steal, don’t steal too. If they try to drink and they invite you, say no. If you try to do something normal but they don’t want to, do that thing alone. If they try to seduce you to doing something bad, don’t get caught on the lie. On the other hand, if you try to do what they told you, you’re not standing alone for yourself. If they invite you to drink and you say yes, you are not standing up for yourself. If they steal and you steal too, you are not standing up for yourself. If you follow them into doing bad stuff, you will not stand up for yourself. Always stand up for yourself, even if you stand alone.
